Wesley Vale trainer Paul Ashwood will take two smart three-year-olds to Luxbet Park this evening, and both have strong winning chances.

In the opening race Ashwood is represented by Mach Three filly Lynniemach. Coming off an 11th placing last week where she was posted three wide for the first 500 metres of the race before finding the death seat. Her win in Hobart two starts ago was full of merit where she won by 20 3metres. Her trainer Paul Ashwood is back in the sulky again tonight and will have to overcome barrier three on the second line. The main danger for Lynniemach is Karalta Kruise who has won his past two starts in the Botra Claiming Novice Drivers Series after leading all the way in both races.

In the second event Ashwood trains and drives Tell All gelding Williamtell (pictured). A winner of two races from his past three starts, including last time out in Hobart on July 2 where he won by seven metres with the last three quarters of the race being run in 1 minute 31.4 seconds (leader to leader). Tonight Williamtell will start from barrier two on the second line and is favourite in early markets ahead of Ultimate Courage and Ark Breeze. A top three finish tonight for Williamtell will see the pacer break the $50,000 barrier in prize-money at start 21 of his career.

The feature race on tonight’s program is the $10,000 Hobart Belmont for the two-year-old fillies where the first starters Betterthanlife and Bouquet Of Roses head early markets. Betterthanlife has had two trials, her most recent was a fifth placing at Carrick Park on June 24 where she took on the older horses over the 2150-metre journey. Bouquet Of Roses has won two of her three trials, the most recent was in Hobart on Monday evening where she recorded 2 minutes 3.6 seconds for the mile trip.

Tonight’s seven event program gets under way at 17:07 pm and will be telecast on Sky Racing 1 and live streamed on
