FINDING best bets on the eight-event card in Devonport on Sunday won’t be easy but some recent trial form could be a good guide.

The Barry Campbell-trained Duperrey scored an emphatic win in an 800-metre trial at Spreyton last Tuesday week defeating Il Regalo and Ain’t the Whisky with the unraced four-year-old running the trip in 48.30 seconds and zipped home the last 600m in a slick 33.12.

The gelded son of Street Boss comes out of the Chris Waller yard where he had a number or preps that resulted in unplaced efforts in trials only.

Based on his ability to run time on the synthetic in his recent trial he only needs to stick it out for another 200m on race day to be a huge chance of winning on debut over 1000 metres.

Watch him winning his trial last week:

The Glenn Stevenson-trained Killin Falls looms as the best bet on the program but he is dropping back in distance from 1350m to 1150m so that should ensure a reasonable price is offered about him making it four wins in succession.

Killin Falls could not have been more impressive in wining his past two and his trainer is confident the gelded son of Savoire Vivre can maintain his winning streak.
