Exciting six-year-old mare Olwen Jaccka is back in action tonight at the Luxbet Racing Centre in Launceston.

Olwen Jaccka began her current campaign for the Camelot Syndicate running third four times in a row before scorching home to run second to in-form pacer Jilliby Gigi in Hobart, beaten by a short half head.

Olwen Jaccka then charged home from last at the 400-metre mark for Ricky Duggan to score a sensational seven-metre win over All My Savings, enabling trainer Deborah Williams to share The Leading Female Trainer Award for the 2016/17 with Shelley Barnes.

Tonight in race four, The Chartley Estate Pace over 2200 metres, Olwen Jaccka has drawn three on the front line against a smart field including last start Luxbet Park winner Hear The Call.

Ben Yole and Robert Walters combined with the former Queensland seven-year-old Hear The Call to lead all the way for a half-head victory over Jilliby Gigi.

Todd Rattray is hoping his unraced Somebeachsomewhere-Tirols Ziray three-year-old filly Bremusa can follow in the hoof marks of her illustrious 2017 Easter Cup winning half-brother Pachacuti, after drawing the pole for its race debut.

Bremusa won a trial at Carrick last week defeating Ken Two Stars, the winner of four races and the likely favourite in race one on tonight’s card.

Todd, last season’s leading reinsman, will also partner Full Speed Ahead in race seven, The Lees Orchard C2 or Better Pace.

The seven-year-old former Queensland gelding has had just two starts in Tasmania for a luckless first-up fourth behind Strange Conduct in Launceston and last week’s powerful 3.8-metre victory at Luxbet Park over Liv Lavish.

Despite going back to the 10-metre Handicap, Full Speed Ahead is likely to run favourite and be the one to beat.

Im Barney Rubble and Rohan Hillier have proven a thorn in the side of Ben Yole over the past two months in the Claimers. But Im Barney Rubble has won four of his last five outings and is more than capable of making it five from six and completing four wins in succession.

Catch tonight’s exciting action from Launceston, commencing with a trial between Pachacuti and Roger Ramjet at 17.37, via the live stream service at tasraing.com.au
