Trainer Ben Yole’s record-breaking season is going from strength to strength with another treble at Luxbet Park in Hobart on Sunday night.

The stables’ stake money earnings moved to within a victory of three-quarters of a million dollars, after success with Hooper Road ($30.60), Crafty Old Fox ($10.20) and the ever-consistent Washies Chance ($4.30).

Junior driver Hannah Van Dongen showed maturity beyond her years to guide Hooper Road (pictured) to victory in C4-C6 company over 2090-metres. Hannah made her winning move approaching the turn off the back stretch, extricating the six-year-old Safari – Delldale gelding from three-back the pegs, out into the running line, before easing off the leaders backs out four-wide on straightening.

Hooper Road, specked in the betting, stormed down the outside to strike the lead, and still had enough up its sleeve to stave off a fast finishing burst from Reckless Abandon.

Crafty Old Fox saluted the judge in the C1-C2, thanks to another spectacular drive by the “Wily Old Fox” Ricky Duggan.

The master driver’s class was on display for all to see, seizing every opportunity on offer, saving every inch of ground and conserving every ounce of energy for the final tilt for victory.

Ricky balanced up the four-year-old gelding for the run to the judge and lifted him over the line for his second Tasmanian victory since arriving in the state in April.

Natalee Emery kept up her amazing association with the 10-year-old Washies Chance, coming from last at the bell to capture the Claimer and clinch their tenth win together from nineteen starts. Natalee timed her run to perfection easing four wide at the 300-metre mark and surging to the front in the home-stretch, courtesy of a final quarter of 28.26-seconds.
