Meeting Dashboard – Hobart, Thursday 10 August

09 / 08 / 2017

The young star classic is the feature event at Hobart on Thursday evening over the 461m journey with a host of great supporting graded events which will ensure a fantastic night of greyhound racing. In race 1 SAMMY FROST (box 8) for trainer Susan Gittus won superbly at Launceston on Monday evening wearing the pink vest and she looks the one to beat again. SHADRACK (box 1) in race 2 also for trainer Susan Gittus led all of the way on Monday evening and from a more favourable box draw he looks like bringing up win number two in quick succession. COSMIC HEIR (box 7) in race 5 for trainer Patrick Ryan is the one to beat in the invitation event with last week’s winner DARK CASIO (box 6) and the more than capable HIGH TREASON (box 3) appearing the other winning chances. The Young Star Final is race 6 with outstanding youngsters DIAMONTE’S BOY (box 1) for trainer Debbie Cannan and WYNBURN CUTIE (box 7) for trainer Ben Englund looking the standout two. Both have drawn where they like it and it should ensure a great contest with WINKLEE JANE (box 5) the other runner in with a chance. Suggested Quadrella is (3,6,7 – 1,5,7 – 2,4,8 – 1,5,7) cost is $40.50 for a 50% dividend.
