Meeting Dashboard – Launceston, Monday 11 September

08 / 09 / 2017

On Monday evening at Launceston the spotlight will be on the youngsters with the 4 semi-finals of the Launceston Veterinary Group Breeder’s Classic to be conducted over the 515m journey. Race 1 is a great grade 5 event over the 600m journey and with a few top class performers engaged there are four main chances and they are IT’S A PARTY (box 8), ZULU KNOCK’S (box 5), CASIO LAD (box 6) and MAHARANI (box 2). In race 2 ELSEY GREGG (box 4) for trainer Ted Medhurst hasn’t raced since February but she is a greyhound that possesses very good early speed and she might be hard to run down over the 278m journey with FANCY MORE (box 6) looking the other runner in with a winning chance. The first of the breeder’s semis is race 3 and LIKE ‘EM ALL (box 2) for trainer Blake Pursell is nicely boxed and in what is an open event WEALDSTONE RADAR (box 5), POSH AMBER (box 6), WYNBURN BOXER (box 7) and FERNANDO BOLT (box 8) are all in with a chance. The Ben Englund show might start off in race 4 with WYNBURN GERI (box 4) who will be storming home. The same goes for WYNBURN MUSTANG (box 2) in race 5 and the star of the kennel who would be the series favourite is WYNBURN CUTIE (box 1) in race 6. HE’S A BOOMER (box 2) in race 7 for trainer David Crosswell bounced back to winning form here last week and from a much more favourable box draw he might be able to make it two in a row. Suggested Quadrella is (2,3,5,8 – 1 -1,2,4,7 – 2,4,5,6) cost is $32.00 for a 50% dividend.
