Meeting Dashboard – Launceston, Monday 22 May

19 / 05 / 2017

A night of value awaits punters on Monday evening with some very even contests to be conducted on a good 10 race program at Launceston. In race 1 the Robyn Johnson trained BUCKLE UP NEL (box 2) is nicely boxed close to the rail and although she will be slow away she might be able to over haul the leaders namely APACHE DREAM (box 7), GOODISON GIRL (box 5) and KEEP YA VISION (box 4). Race 2 and SHIRLEY BASS (box 7) for trainer Susan Gittus appears to be the best bet of the night, possessing faultless box manners she has the early speed to lead all of the way over the 278m journey. In race 4 FURIOUS FLOSS (box 3) for trainer Keith Krushka was beaten an eyelash here last week and she might go one better this week in the 600m event. HE’S A BOOMER (box 1) for trainer David Crosswell is very well suited with the inside alley and he might be a bit too strong for his rivals in the run home. BLACK RHINO (box 8) in race 7 looks a nice each way chance as he will be coming from well back in the field but he is nicely suited with the outside box draw. Another that will be coming from well back is VRONTIOS (box 6) in race 9 for trainer Kevin McConnon and he could be hard to hold out if he gets a clear enough passage. In race 10 BAMBALAM BRANDY (box 1) for trainer Debbie Cannan is overdue for a win after 4 placings in a row, and from the red alley she might be able to lead all of the way. Suggested Quadrella is (1,2,3 – 1,2,5 – 2,4,7,8 – 1,7) cost is $36.00 for a 50% dividend.
