Meeting Dashboard – Launceston, Sunday 10 September

The action heads to the Luxbet Racing Centre in Launceston this Sunday with an even nine-event program.

The fifth event on the program is the Pace for the C6 to C10 assessed pacers. Sheer Strength will be looking to be making amends after being a beaten favourite last start, his win in Hobart three starts ago was ultra impressive when he beat a quality field by 19 metres.

His stable mate Another Swinger has won two out of his past four and has drawn barrier seven, a similar barrier that he drew four starts ago when he led easily to win.

Spitfire Rose and Dapper Dana have both been hitting the line well in recent starts while Giuliani is first up since April and has won his two most recent trials

This is for the three-year-olds and CO pacers and C1 ballots. KEN TWO STARS (3) has had a freshen up since his latest effort where he was made do plenty of work early before knocking up. He gets the good draw and will go better with a sit so look for him to take plenty of holding out at the finish. CALL ME BLONDIE (5) had every chance last week when got very close to a pretty smart type. She draws the middle of the line so Rohan will more than likely push forward and settle handy so she is sure to be a major player. KEEP PLAYING (11) is the only three-year-old in the race and comes off a good win last time. He draws out the back so will need a few favours in the run but can win if they come his way. Stable mates EL JAYS MONZA (6) and KARALTA KRUISE (7) are both more than capable of figuring with a bit of luck from there wide draws. RILEY COYOTE (8) and SHADOW CONTROL (10) are two that need to be considered for the exotic players as they can fill a place at odds.

TOP PICK: KEN TWO STARS (3) is clearly the hardest to beat.

DANGERS: CALL ME BLONDIE (5) looks the danger along with EL JAYS MONZA (6).

ROUGHIE: SHADOW CONTROL (10) will run a race at odds.

RATINGS: 3 – 5 6 11 – 7 8 10 – 1 4 9 12 – 2

SUGGESTED BET: EL JAYS MONZA on a 1 by 2 basis

EXOTIC BET: Boxed Trifecta 3 5 6 10 11 $30 Flexi 50%

LIKELY LEADER: Tricky speed map but Shadow Storm has the pace to lead early

This is for the C1 class pacers and looks a very tough race on paper. LORD STARK (1) hit the line very strongly last time up along the pegs. He is well suited in this despite it be stronger than his latest runs as he has the early speed to lead and will take plenty of running down over the short trip. WILLIAMTELL (6) was too bad to be true last time. He will strip fitter for that run so if he can slot into the running line early which will not be easy can run a much-improved race. ARK BREEZE (5) is a consistent mare who is knocking on the door. She may be asked to run the gate tonight to try and find a handy position so has to be kept safe. LAKE EYRE (7) I find it hard to see back into a C1 as twelve months ago he was racing in much stronger class so if he can get some cover early from his wide draw can be dangerous. MIDAIR MELTDOWN (8) will get run behind the leader so is one at odds to be thrown into the mix along with ULTIMATE COURAGE (3), PUNCHINELLO (9) and REGAL MAJOR (10).

TOP PICK: LORD STARK (1) will lead and take running down.

DANGERS: ARK BREEZE (5) is a danger along with WILLIAMTELL (6).

ROUGHIE: MIDAIR MELTDOWN (8) gets the run to figure at odds.

RATINGS: 1 – 5 6 7 8 – 3 9 10 – 2 4 11 12

This is for the C4-C5 performers over the short trip of 1680m. CALL HER JULIE (5) has been going great guns of late and was rewarded for that with a dead heat last week. She will find actually easier than her latest run so if she can get outside the leader early will take plenty of holding out. EBONYALLSTARZZZ (1) has come up with the pole once again which is a huge assistance to her as she will hold the lead and if she can get a 32 quarter at some stage she will take getting past. GOD SAKE (8) has five out of his last six and draws to get the gun run here so if gets a crack them can win. SPOT EIGHT (9) is not going as good as he was six weeks ago but this is easier than recent runs so from his good trailing has to be included for the exotic punters. PAINT THE WIND (10) is more than capable of winning this if his close enough so look for him to be hitting the line strongly. SULTAN FELLA (11) was going to be in the finish last start before going roughly. He draws to get a three wide cart into the race and can sprint quickly with the right run so his one at odds.

TOP PICK: CALL HER JULIE (5) is the hardest to beat.

DANGERS: GOD SAKE (8) is the danger along with PAINT THE WIND (10).

ROUGHIE: SULTAN FELLA (11) will run a race at odds.

RATINGS: 5 – 1 8 10 – 9 11 – 2 3 7 – 4 6

EXOTIC BET: Trifecta 5 – 1 8 9 10 11 – 1 8 9 10 11  $20 Flexi 100%

LIKELY LEADER: Ebonyallstarzzz is the leader

This is for the C2-C3 pacers. HEAR THE CALL (4) was well supported last week when a gutsy winner leading throughout. He has drawn four but he may be able to get across if can ping the gate early so if finds the top will again take plenty of running down. OLWEN JACCKA (3) was a stylish winner coming from a long way back last time. She has always been a handy mare and races best with a sit so if she lobs in the front half of the field she can get over the top of them again. OLIVERS MATE (7) is as tough as they come and never runs poorly so he is sure to push forward early and if he is able to work to the breeze will be in the finish. SAYWHAT (9) never had much luck last time so if you can forgive for that can figure from his second line draw. ONEMORELAUGH (1) is not racing as well as he was but from his good draw he can settle just behind the speed so is a must include at odds. BUSTED (10) and HOOPER ROAD (11) have both drawn out the back but if they get the right trip into the race can run sneaky races at odds. KILBIRNIE NORTH VIEW (2) is an ex Sunraysia pacer who may find this a bit strong at first local run.

TOP PICK: OLWEN JACCKA (3) will take plenty of holding out.

DANGERS: HEAR THE CALL (4) is the obvious danger along with OLIVERS MATE (7).

ROUGHIE: BUSTED (10) will run a race at odds with the right trip.

RATINGS: 3 4 – 1 7 9 10 11 – 8 12 – 5 6

EXOTIC BET: Trifecta 3 4 – 1 3 4 7 9 10 11 – 1 3 4 7 9 10 11 $30 Flexi 50%

LIKELY LEADER: Hear The Call will be hoping to cross Onemorelaugh early

RACE 5: 20:24pm LUXBET.COM PACE 2200M

This is for the C6-C10 pacers. It is a front line with plenty of speed so they are sure to run along early. SPITFIRE ROSE (4) gets her chance tonight as she should be able to push forward and if she is able to find the breeze she will take plenty of getting past. DAPPER DANA (8) has been very good in two runs back from a long break. He couldn’t have drawn any worse but if he is able to get a crack at them will go very close to winning. ANOTHER SWINGER (7) is a different horse at the front of the field so I’m sure they will have a look early from the wide draw but I don’t think he can cross so a place looks best. SHEER STRENGTH (2) is hard to access as three runs back was brilliant in winning then has been slightly disappointing at past two. He may be first to the pegs and may look for cover, but either way if produces best will be thereabouts. MOTO KENNY (5) ran some super races last time in when doing plenty of work in those. He resumes into a race with plenty of speed so not sure where he will end up but has to be included. BAYRIDGE BILL (6), CHIRAC (9) and JEANS MATTJESTY (10) are all handy sit – sprinters so if they run along up front it wouldn’t shock to see either of them win. GIULIANI (11) is first up for Marc Butler who has a great record with horses having first run for him but a place looks best from the draw.

TOP PICK: SPITFIRE ROSE (4) is the hardest to beat in a tough race.

DANGERS: DAPPER DANA (8) is a huge danger along with ANOTHER SWINGER (7).

ROUGHIE: CHIRAC (9) draws to be dangerous at odds.

RATINGS: 4 7 8 – 2 5 6 9 10 11 – 1 3

EXOTIC BET: Boxed Quinella 4 7 8 $30 Flexi 1000%

LIKELY LEADER: Heaps of speed here but Sheer Strength can hold up early from those drawn out wide

RACE 6: 20:49pm RANVET STAKES 1680M

This is a race for the C1-C2 Mares. JILLIBY GIGI (6) is super consistent and doesn’t know how to run a bad race. She will have to push forward early and if she can find the breeze she will be right in the finish. SAFARI ROSE (10) was good last time after copping plenty of pressure in front. She draws out the back tonight so will get a much easier run into the race if she can get some cover so can win. ALL MY SAVINGS (7) was also good in that same race leading up the three wide line. She draws the top of the track and does have a bit of gate speed so wouldn’t surprise if has a crack at getting across. ITWHATILIKEABOUTU (5) is an injury plagued mare who does have her share of ability. She will strip fitter for her first up run and she can run the gate when right so has to be included. SPARKLING (11) will be hoping for speed up front as she will be ton the three wide line and if close enough can figure. BERTILS DELIGHT (1) and MERSEY DELIGHT (3) can sneak into a minor placing at odds.

TOP PICK: JILLIBY GIGI (6) is the safest option in a tough race.

DANGERS: SAFARI ROSE (10) is a danger along with ITSWHATILIKEABOUTU (5).

ROUGHIE: SPARKLING (11) will run a race at odds.

RATINGS: 6 – 5 7 10 11 – 1 2 3 4 8 9

EXOTIC BET: Boxed Trifecta 5 6 7 10 11 $30 Flexi 50%

LIKELY LEADER: Tough speed map but I think numbers 5-6-7 who are drawn out wide can work to the top

Race Replay

This is a C2 or better stand. FULL SPEED AHEAD (8) made up for his unlucky first up run in the State when he was a very strong winner last week beating most of his rivals tonight. He goes back to the 10m mark tonight but the way he went last week that may stop him from going back to back. HEZA RUMMAGE (7) is first up in the State for the ben Yole stable. He brings handy form with him so if produces best is sure to be in the finish. LIV LAVISH (1) is well placed off the front line so as long as she takes advantage of that will be in the finish. STYLISH TREND (2) has been going ok and does have a good 300m sprint so if he can be held up for the last crack at them can figure at odds. STRANGE CONDUCT (5) was driven a treat by Zippy last time when he pinged to the top and won well so if was able to do similar tonight has to included. DELLAS COMMAND (3) will be fitter for first up run so can fill a place as can LORD JONES (6). PUSHKIN (4) won’t know himself back of the front line so can improve on past few runs.

TOP PICK: FULL SPEED AHEAD (8) will be hard to beat.

DANGERS: HEZA RUMMAGE (7) will be a danger along with LIV LAVISH (1).

ROUGHIE: STYLISH TREND (2) with the right trip has a chance at odds.

RATINGS: 8 – 1 7 – 2 3 4 5 6

EXOTIC BET: Trifecta 8 – Field – Field  $21 Flexi 50%

LIKELY LEADER: Pushkin or Strange Conduct one of them can ping across

This is for the three year and older non winners. SIGN OF A TYNE (2) gets his chance tonight as he gets the draw to push forward early and can find the early lead so is sure to take plenty of running down. VOLKOVA LEIS (8) was very good when resuming and will only be fitter but does draws inside the second line which is not ideal as will be relying on a bit of luck but if gets it can win. FIRST ELVA (5) has been very consistent and only knocked up late last time after doing the work in the breeze. She will be hoping for a more economical run tonight and can win. TRIPLE AITCH FELLA (9) has got his hoof on the door and will get a good run through early so has to be included. BREMUSA (1) is a beautifully bred filly making her debut. She was a good trail winner last week and has drawn to advantage so is a huge query in the race. ALBAYZIN (10) is another debutante who ran third in that trial so place looks best from the back row draw.

TOP PICK: SIGN OF A TYNE (2) gets his chance from the draw.

DANGERS: VOLKOVA LEIS (8) just needs luck to be the danger along with first starter BREMUSA (1).

ROUGHIE: TRIPLE AITCH FELLA (9) will run a race at odds.

RATINGS: 2 – 1 5 8 9 – 4 10 – 3 6 7 11

EXOTIC BET: Boxed Trifecta 1 2 5 8 9 $30 Flexi 50%

LIKELY LEADER: Sign Of Tyne will be hoping to cross the pole marker Bremusa early

This is a mobile claimer to finish off the night. IM BARNEY RUBBLE (8) has made these his own of late and there looks no reason why he won’t make it five out of his last six. He has drawn inside the second row but Rohan will be off quickly and then he will bide his time and look to run them down. WASHIES CHANCE (7) is always a danger in this class and will be everything possible to turn the tables on Barney. He draws the top of the track but I’m certain they will push forward early and try to get that advantage. IM YOUNG TOMMY (9) battled away well last time so if he can get onto the back of the favourite can hit the line well. JUKEBOX MUSIC (6) is another that will push forward early so if he settles in top few has to be included. REGAL STRIDE (1) is the early leader but the question will be will he hand up or take a sit so a change of tactics may prove crucial in this race.

TOP PICK:  IM BARNEY RUBBLE (8) is the one to beat.

DANGERS: WASHIES CHANCE (7) is the danger along with IM YOUNG TOMMY (9).

ROUGHIE: JUKEBOX MUSIC (6) will get out to double figures so is a worth a gamble.

RATINGS: 8 – 7 – 6 9 – 1 2 3 4 5

EXOTIC BET: Trifecta 8 – 7 – 6 9 $20 Flexi 1000%   8 – 6 9 – 7 $10 Flexi 500%

LIKELY LEADER: Regal Stride is the early leader
