Meeting Dashboard – Launceston, Sunday 13 August

The Launceston Pacing Club will stage a massive 11-event program this Sunday evening where Devendra will have to overcome a 40-metre handicap in the Fake Idee Discretionary over 2698 metres.

The main race of the night is the running of the Cliff Robins Memorial for the two-year-olds that are yet to win a race.

RACE 1: 17:17pm TENIRAMA PACE 1680M

This is for the C1 class performers. PRINCE OF DAWN (4) made a good impression when having first start in the State when doing run down late. He looks well placed here over the short trip and from his good draw he should be able to zoom to the lead and take plenty of running down. SAFARI ROSE (8) was another that impressed at first local run. She draws inside the second row so will be hoping to get a crack at them and can win if she does. PUNCHINELLO (2) has been racing well and has finally draw an alley so as long as he takes advantage of that he is an each way chance. OLIVERS MATE (9) is a consistent type who has a good trailing draw so has to be included even though he is a bit one paced. RILEY COYOTE (6) has had a bit of freshen up so if comes back with the form he showed four and five runs back he has to be kept safe. POSTAL EXPRESS (1), REGAL MAJOR (7), HEAR THE CALL (10), LORD STARK (11) and BERTILS DELIGHT (12) are all more than capable of running a race at odds with the right trip in transit.

TOP PICK: PRINCE OF DAWN (4) if runs up to last week’s effort is the hardest to beat.

DANGERS: SAFARI ROSE (8) is the danger despite the draw along with PUNCHINELLO (2).

ROUGHIE: POSTAL EXPRESS (1) can improve sharply from the draw.

RATINGS: 4 – 2 6 8 9 – 1 5 7 10 11 12 13

EXOTIC BET: Boxed Quinella 1 2 4 8 $30 Flexi 500%

LIKELY LEADER: Prince Of Dawn should be able to get across

This is a race for the C1-C2 Mares. ALL MY SAVINGS (1) had every chance when having first local run last time. She draws to find the lead much easier tonight and with natural improvement will take plenty of running down. JILLIBY GIGI (10) was huge winning last time when sitting parked and beating similar opposition. She will have to do the same tonight but is going well enough to make it back to back wins. ARK BREEZE (9) is a consistent mare who gets a good trailing draw. She will push through and if can be saved for the last run at them will take holding out. MERSEY DELIGHT (6) is a handy mare resuming when right. She draws a touch wide over the short trip which is not ideal but still has to be kept safe. KARALTA STARDUST (8) was in a purple patch going back 4-6 weeks and her last few have been slightly disappointing but she draws behind the likely leader so will get a cheap run so can bounce back. IM PAIGE (7) is a new comer to the State and is first up for Ben Yole so will pay to watch the market as does bring reasonable form with her. WRITEABOUTCHELSEA (3) and WHENTHEGROUNDSHOOK (5) are next best.

TOP PICK: ALL MY SAVINGS (1) is the hardest to beat from the draw.

DANGERS: JILLIBY GIGI (10) is the danger along with ARK BREEZE (9).

ROUGHIE: MERSEY DELIGHT (6) can run a race at odds.

RATINGS: 1 – 6 7 8 9 10 – 2 3 4 5

EXOTIC BET: Trifecta 1 – 6 8 9 10 – 6 8 9 10 $24 Flexi 200%

This is a C2 or better stand and as usual is a very tough race at that. KVITOVA LEIS (2) gets into this very well off the front row with the mares concession. She will be hoping to step safely and settle handy as that will enable her to be dangerous late as she can sprint quickly with that sort of trip. LORD JONES (8) is always a chance in a race like this as long as he steps quick enough to settle in the front half of the field so will pay to keep safe. PUSHKIN (10) looks back in form as his last two efforts have been very good. He will ping away and will look to work around the field and make a play for the top or the spot outside the leader either way he is a good hope. THE STATE OF PLAY (5) was able to ping on top last week and gave plenty of cheek in pretty good time so if he happened to ping on top again he will give a sight. MICKWILLREV (12) is the back marker off 40m. He will be much better for his first up run but place looks best over the 2200m trip.  CHESIRE CAT (7) has been ticking along nicely of late and she did win a couple of these a few months back so is one at odds to be included. LAKE EYRE (9) looked a bit disappointing last time but will pay to give another chance. CRAFTY OLD FOX (6) got up last time courtesy of an eleven out of ten drive by Ricky Duggan. He will need a similar trip again to be winning. SU YOU TOO (1), SEENOHEARNOSPEAKNO (4) and SHAKTI BROMAC (11) are next best.

TOP PICK: PUSHKIN (10) looks a good each way gamble.

DANGERS: KVITOVA LEIS (2) is one of many dangers along with LORD JONES (8).

ROUGHIE: CHESIRE CAT (7) will run a race at odds.

RATINGS: 10 – 2 5 7 8 9 12 – 1 3 4 6 11

SUGGESTED BET: PUSHKIN each way – CHESIRE CAT on a 1 by 2 basis

EXOTIC BET: Boxed Quinella 2 5 7 8 10 $30 Flexi 150%

LIKELY LEADER: The State Of Play can ping to the lead

This is the open Discretionary. DEVENDRA (8) is the back marker off 40m but will be suited to the longer trip. He will begin safely and will tack onto the rest of the field pretty early. I think they will drive him to have the last crack at them so look for him to finish off strongly. HUGO PLAY (5) gets a 30m head start over him and that should take him a long way to winning. He was very good last time when nothing went right so it wouldn’t surprise if they take that out of the equation tonight and find the top so will be the hardest to beat. ROGER JAMJET (6) got out to remarkable odds last time when winning impressively. He is shooting for four on the trot and there is no reason why he can’t achieve that. BAYRIDGE BILL (1) and KARALTA DAZZLER (2) both ping away quickly and one of them will find the early lead and the question will be do they hand up so are a must include at odds for exotic players. JEANS MATTJESTY (4) and MODERN RULER (7) are both more than capable with the right trips so don’t discount.

TOP PICK: HUGO PLAY (5) is the hardest to beat.

DANGERS: DEVENDRA (8) is the danger along with ROGER RAMJET (6).

ROUGHIE: BAYRIDGE BILL (1) can place at odds.

RATINGS:  5 – 6 8 – 1 2 4 7 – 3

EXOTIC BET: Trifecta 5 – 6 8 – 1 2 4 6 7 8 $20 Flexi 200% / 5 – 1 2 4 6 7 8 – 6 8 $15 Flexi 150%

LIKELY LEADER: Bayridge Bill or Karalta Dazzler will lead

This if the C5-C9 class performers. SPOT EIGHT (2) has had a great season and draws to advantage as he will take up his customary role as leader so is sure to give them plenty to chase. SPITFIRE ROSE (7) is knocking on the door as has been very good in all three runs since resuming. She draws wide but she will push forward early as that where she races best and will take plenty of getting past. ANOTHER SWINGER (6) was good at first run back in the State. He may look to push forward early and may end up lobbing one-by-one and that will bring him right into calculations. CHIRAC (10) is in career best form and he really enjoys being the stalker so if they go hard up front, which should happen, he will hit the line strongly again. DAPPER DANA (9) is an injury plagued pacer who resumes from a 15-month break. He will be in need of the run but can finish off strongly if anything near his old form. MELOLYN (11) has been going ok in similar class so is one at odds to include. PAINT THE WIND (3) faces his toughest test to date so place looks best.

TOP PICK: SPITFIRE ROSE (7) is the hardest to beat.

DANGERS: SPOT EIGHT (2) is the danger along with ANOTHER SWINGER (6).

ROUGHIE: MELOLYN (11) can run a race at odds.

RATINGS: 7 – 2 6 10 – 3 9 11 – 1 4 5 8

EXOTIC BET: Trifecta 7 – 2 3 6 9 10 11 – 2 3 6 9 10 11 $30 Flexi 100%

This is for the C2-C4 performers and looks a bit of speed off the front row. GOD SAKE (11) has had a lot fall into place of late but all you can do is win and he is shooting for five on the trot. He will be hoping to get some cover into the race which will enable him to finish strongly. TIMELY SOVEREIGN (13) he draws outside the back row over a mile so will need plenty to fall into place but if you forgive for his latest run and the senior driver going back on he will be hitting the line hard. MARTYS FOR REAL (1) is the leader from the pole so can hold on for a place as has a great record over the short trip. BONES JONES (8) resumes for Deb Williams and draws to get the right run so is one at odds that can figure. BUSTED (3) is bursting to breakthrough and is well placed here as he should be able find the breeze off the stable mate early and then look to dictate from there so keep safe. KWIATKOWSKI (4) is the huge query as if he produced his best he is well up to winning a race of this class. He may flick the switch early and make a play to get across as he can run the gate when asked so has to be included. DEVIL OF TYNE (2), HOOPER ROAD (9), SWAGGERLIKEJAGGER (10) and MAKING MY MARK (12) are capable of running into some minor first four money at odds.

TOP PICK: GOD SAKE (11) will be hard to beat but be wary off the price as may start unders.

DANGERS: BUSTED (3) looks a danger along with TIMELY SOVEREIGN (13).

ROUGHIE: KWIATKOWSKI (4) can run a race at odds.

RATINGS: 11 – 3 4 8 13 – 1 2 9 10 12 – 6 7

EXOTIC BET:  Boxed Trifecta 3 4 8 11 13 Flexi 50%

LIKELY LEADER: Martys For Real looks the leader but doubt he will be in front at the finish

This is for the three olds and CO pacers. KEN TWO STARS (1) has been very good at his two runs back from a spell. He comes up with plum draw tonight so as long as he can take advantage of that he will take plenty of beating. SVENSSON (5) was very impressive winning last time where he zoomed to the lead and ran his rivals ragged. This is a bit stronger but if he was able to zoom across early can win again. COURAGEOUS KATEE (13) it will pay to forgive her latest effort and go on her two previous wins. She draw out the back so will be relying on getting a cart into the race and if she is close enough can run past them. JAMINAS JOY (2) has done nothing wrong since coming to the State. She draws to advantage as should be on the speed throughout so has to be kept safe. HAYLEYS COMET (4) had no luck last time and went to the line hard held. He will be hoping to settle slot in early and if his close enough at the 400m can figure and the same can be said about EL JAYS MONZA (3). EMJAYS BLACK CHIP (6), ITSNOTALWAYSABOUTU (8) and MASTER LEON (10) are capable of running races at odds with luck in running.

TOP PICK: KEN TWO STARS (1) is the hardest to beat.

DANGERS: SVENSSON (5) is one of many dangers along with COURAGEOUES KATEE (13).

ROUGHIE: HAYLEYS COMET (4) can run a race at odds.

RATINGS: 1 – 2 3 4 5 13 – 6 8 10 – 9 11 12

EXOTIC BET:  Trifecta 1 – 2 3 4 5 8 10 13 – 2 3 4 5 8 10 13 $21 Flexi 50%

LIKELY LEADER: Svensson will go close to getting across

This is for the two year olds. PEZZAMYSTIC (5) will appreciate dropping back into a two year old non winners as he will find this much easier. He will be hoping to get forward early and look to dictate from there so will be the hardest to beat. INVICTUS (6) was well supported on debut but failed to flatter but he too will find this much easier so will pay to keep safe. IDEAL FELLA (7) resumes and was a handy trial winner last week so despite drawing the top of the track has to be kept very safe. Stablemates KARALTA DEMON (1) and ARK FURY (2) have both been thereabouts of late so from there good draws have to be included into the winning chances as does KEEP PLAYING (3) who has been going ok from back row draws. NOW HEAR THIS (4) and KARPENKOVA LEIS (8) are both well bred debutantes who have trialled ok their debuts so may pay to watch the markets.

TOP PICK: PEZZAMYSTIC (5) will take plenty of beating.

DANGERS: IDEAL FELLA (7) looks a danger along with INVICTUS (6).

ROUGHIE: ARK FURY (2) will run a race at odds.

RATINGS: 5 – 6 7 – 1 2 3 4 8

EXOTIC BET: Trifecta 5 – 1 2 3 6 7 – 1 2 3 6 7 $20 Flexi 100%

LIKELY LEADER: Karalta Demon or Ark Fury will lead

This is for the three-year-old and older non winners. SIGN OF A TYNE (9) has been very good at two runs from a let up. He draws the second row but should get a good run through early and then look to get around to the breeze which will make him very hard to beat. SHADOW CONTROL (1) has the early speed to hold up and if he happened to settle in front he will prove hard to run down. KARALTA KRUISE (8) will follow him everywhere he goes and if he gets a crack at them can run past them. HOLLY HALO (5) has her fair share of ability so if she happened to lob in the front half of the field can be dangerous at the business end. HARSHALI (4) has got gate speed so may be interesting early if they decide to push forward but I think her best chance is to be driven with a sit. MI JU DAN (3) forget about his latest run when over raced very fiercely. He gets a good draw so if he settled tonight he comes right into calculations. PAGLIACCI (10) is next best.

TOP PICK: SIGN OF A TYNE (9) is the hardest to beat.

DANGERS: SHADOW CONTROL (1) is the danger along with KARALTA KRUISE (8).

ROUGHIE: MI JU DAN (3) can run a race at odds.

RATINGS: 9 – 1 5 8 – 3 4 10 – 2 6 7

EXOTIC BET: Trifecta 9 – 1 3 4 5 8 – 1 3 4 5 8 $20 Flexi 100%

LIKELY LEADER: Shadow Control will lead

This is another very tough race. DIDDLEY BOW (5) brings the best form into the race but he just needs a bit of luck early from his tricky draw so if he gets it he will take plenty of beating. SEA SKY (2) can run a much improved race from her good draw as she may be able to get across early so will pay to keep safe. GUESSTAMATE (7) can throw a spanner in the works as she can run the gate hard when asked so from out there it wouldn’t surprise and if she got across she comes right into calculations. MIDAIR MELTDOWN (6) is a new comer to the State and only brings fair form with him from South Australia but this is not overly strong so may pay to watch the market. KARALTA BOOMER (9) will get a good run through early and this is race that looks within his grasp. OUT TO STRIKE (11) was a good run first up in the State when blew the start. Back to mobile conditions will suit so can figure. POP THE CORK (10) is an opportunist who is always dangerous with the right trip so keep safe. YOIES GIRLS (3), VAPAR GLENN (4) and ANGELINA RAINBOW (8) are next best.

TOP PICK: DIDDLEY BOW (5) just leaning his way in a tricky race.

DANGERS: SEA SKY (2) draws to be a danger along with KARALTA BOOMER (9).

ROUGHIE: GUESSTAMATE (7) will run a race at odds.

RATINGS: 5 – 2 6 7 9 10 11 – 1 3 4 8 12

EXOTIC BET: Boxed Quinella  2 5 7 9  $30 Flexi 500%

LIKELY LEADER: Tricky speed map Sea Sky and Guesstamate look the two

RACE 11 22:15pm

This is a stand start claimer to finish off the night. JUKEBOX MUSIC (2) has a great record in these stand start claimers. He will pounce on the early lead so if Todd can get him a reasonable first half he will take plenty of running down. WASHIES CHANCE (8) has had a stellar season winning ten races but does go better from the mobile. He will begin slowly but safely so has to be right in the mix. IM BARNEY RUBBLE (9) has returned from a freshen up in good order. He can be a bit hit and miss from the tapes but if he goes away with them will take plenty of holding out. IM YOUNG TOMMY (7) is the query as is having first start in the State but brings good Victorian claiming form into the race so is right in the mix. REGAL EAGLE (1) has been just behind the money of late so if begins safely he can run a drum at huge odds.

TOP PICK: IM YOUNG TOMMY (7) on his Victorian form will take plenty of beating.

DANGERS: IM BARNEY RUBBLE (9) is a huge danger along with JUKEBOX MUSIC (2).

ROUGHIE: REGAL EAGLE (1) can run a place at huge odds.

RATINGS: 7 – 2 8 9 – 1 3 4 5 6

EXOTIC BET: First Four 2 7 8 9 – 2 7 8 9 – 2 7 8 9 – 1 2 7 8 9  $36 Flexi 75%

LIKELY LEADER: Jukebox Music should ping to the lead
