Tasracing in consultation with the Programming Sub-Committee have now finalised the 2025/26 Harness Feature Race Calendar.
The items of note on the 2025/26 Calendar include:
- The Raider Stakes and Granny Smith (4YO Sires) will remain at Launceston with
the Finals on July 20, 2025.
- The Beautide to remain at Hobart and be run on August 2, 2025.
- The 2YO Sweepstakes Final will now be run on the same night as the Beautide.
- The Tasmanian Derby and Oaks will move from Early November back to
September 6, 2025, at Hobart.
- The 3YO Fillies Championship and Tasmanian Guineas will now be on November
1, 2025, which is the previous date for the Derby and Oaks. This will be two weeks prior to the heats of the Globe Derby and Bandbox (3YO Sires).
- The Dynamo will remain at Hobart on November 14, 2025, but each heat will now be run over 1609m with a maximum field size of 8.
- The Australian Drivers Championship will be at Hobart on December 21, 2025.
- Due to the fall of Easter in 2026 (Easter Cup is April 4) the Tasmania Cup Final
will be run on February 28, 2026. As per previous years there will be two weeks of heats on February 13 and 20.
- Due to this the Devonport Cup will now be run on January 31, 2026.
Final race dates will be subject to the completion of the 2025/26 race dates with
minimal movement of dates expected.
