Tasracing advises that today’s (12 August) race meeting at Spreyton has been postponed following the discovery of rocks on the racing surface prior to Race 3.
The decision was taken following an inspection of the racing surface by stewards who made the decision to postpone the meeting.
The track has subsequently been closed to all use, including trackwork.
Tasracing staff will commence remediation works on the track surface tomorrow (13 August).
It will provide updated information to industry regarding future programmed meetings at Spreyton once the works have been completed and a detailed assessment completed.
