The $80,000 Beautide will be held at Ladbrokes Racing Centre Mowbray on Saturday, 1 August, marking the first time the feature race has been conducted in Launceston.

Open to eligible three and four-year-old pacers, the race will be run over 2200 metres. Horses must be Tasbred or have been wholly owned by Tasmanian residents since 1 September 2025 and trained by a licensed Tasmanian trainer since 1 February 2026.

The race is named in honour of one of Tasmania’s greatest pacers, Beautide, who won consecutive Inter Dominion Championships in 2014 and 2015.

The first three editions of the Beautide were held in Hobart, with Magician winning the inaugural running and Fighter Command claiming the past two editions.

The weekend will begin with the LAFM Beautide Calcutta on Friday, 31 July, giving attendees the chance to get involved ahead of Saturday’s race meeting. Bookings are essential.
