Tasracing, in conjunction with the Thoroughbred Advisory Network (TAN), is pleased to confirm the implementation of the 2026/27 Code Funding Allocation, effective from 16 October 2026. The following initiatives form part of this year’s allocation:
Night Racing Premium
From October 16, 2026, 18 Launceston Night Meetings will have the following prizemoney premiums:
Maidens - $25,000 to $30,000
Maiden/CL1 - $25,000 to $30,000
Class 1 - $26,000 to $29,000
Class 2 - $27,000 to $30,000
Class 3 - $28,000 to $31,000
Class 5 - $30,000 to $33,000
<BM62 - $20,000 to $22,000
BM64/70 - $25,000 to $27,000
BM72 - $27,000 to $32,000
BM76 - $30,000 to $32,000
Riding Fees
The riding fee will be increase from $245 to $255 from October 16th 2026.
Feature Races
With the upgrade of the 3YO Cup to BLACK TYPE, the newly elevated LISTED 3YO Cup will be raised from $125,000 to $150,000
The 2YO Magic Millions on February 5th 2027 will carry a TASBRED Bonus
The 2027 LISTED Elwick Stakes will be altered from January to May 2027.
