All eyes will be on three exciting chasers at today’s North-West Greyhound Racing Club meeting in Devonport.

El Grand Amigo, trained by Pat Ryan, has been off the scene since April 13 but returns to racing against Grade 4 opposition over the 452-metre sprint trip.  The son of El Grand Senor-Dennes Point has won eight of 17 starts including two from five at Devonport, recording a blistering 25.57-seconds from Box 1 in March.  El Grand Amigo has drawn the coveted red box, with the early speed maps pointing to him scorching to the front in the run to the first corner.  El Grand Amigo was placed behind star performers Dark Casio and Stylish Nic in quality Free-For-All company in Hobart at his two runs prior to a spell and is sure to run a red-hot favourite in Race 3.

Zipping Jagger is in search of its fourth straight win in Race 5, the first leg of the quadrella. The Mick Stringer-trained son of Jagger Swagger-Tricky Rose has powered his way to victory at all three tracks with a combination of speed and strength and looks set to continue his winning run.

Rapid Surprize will be in quest of her third win in the space of just three weeks when she lines up in the last race in the Grade 5.  The Sonia Martin-trained Cosmic Rumble-Explosive Ebony bitch has run blistering times of late and grows a leg when drawn close to the rail, so she has drawn perfectly in Box 1 for her Grade 5 assignment.  Rapid Surprize has raced on seven occasions at Devonport for just one victory but returns to the track racing in a rich vein of form.
