Strong start | Bingley to take charge in Hobart

Tasmania will look to build on a strong opening to the 2026 National Apprentice Race Series (NARS) when the series heads to Hobart this Sunday.

The competition kicked off in Alice Springs last weekend, where Kirra-Lee Lane represented Tasmania and secured 7 points to have the state firmly in contention after the opening leg.

Attention now turns to the home leg, with Lauryn Bingley set to take the reins on familiar ground. With the advantage of local conditions and strong support, Bingley will look to capitalise and build on Tasmania’s early momentum.

With the state already competitive on the leaderboard, Sunday presents an important opportunity to make further inroads and push towards an overall breakthrough result.

Bingley is one of four apprentices representing Tasmania across the 2026 series, alongside Lane, Jabez Johnstone and Jackson Radley, with Radley to feature in the later legs despite recently transferring his apprenticeship to Victoria.

Keep an eye on Hobart this Sunday as Lauryn Bingley looks to build on Tasmania’s strong start.
