Adoption Fees

Our adoption fee of $300. We consider this a donation to our organisation as it helps to recover some of the costs that GAP incur during the process of getting your greyhound ready for their new forever home.

You may choose to take on the foster phase of the greyhound yourself which is called Adoption – Self Foster, this gives you a chance to teach the dog in the way you want it to know the rules of your home from the start. Gap still offers you support in this process. The fee for Adoption – Self Foster is $250.
The adoption fee must be paid prior to the greyhound being collected (bank transfer) or on the day of collection (cash ) unless alternative prior arrangements have been made.

There is a 28 day grace period with adoption and foster adoption where despite your best efforts the greyhound you adopted isn’t the right fit for your home you can arrange to return the greyhound to Gap and receive a refund (*conditions apply)

Dogs will not be held unless an adoption agreement is completed and adoption fee paid.
