The Greyhound Adoption Program Tasmania is a program operated by Tasracing on a not-for-profit basis, which places greyhounds no longer suitable for racing into pet homes. Before being adopted, the greyhounds may be fostered for a period of time in order to help them to adjust to life in a domestic environment.
Greyhounds from GAP Tasmania have been behaviorally assessed and received a health check by a veterinarian before entering your home where they will be further introduced to pet dog life for at least 3 weeks.
Please take the time to complete the Foster Carer Registration and our admin staff will contact you to discuss finding a greyhound for you to foster.
