In 2022, Tasracing was awarded a significant industry training grant to elevate skills and standards across the state. Since then, we have delivered a range of targeted programs designed to support both individual development of our industry participants and whole-of-industry improvement. These initiatives include: Farrier Training (Tafe NSW) – establishing Tasmania as the first Principal Racing Authority (PRA) in Australia to introduce mandatory training requirements for raceday farriers, ensuring best practice hoof care and supporting optimal equine welfare and performance.
