Community Clubs Share in $15,000 at Dynamo Night

Around 40 local sporting & community clubs enjoyed a brilliant night at the races, along with the chance to share in $15,000 worth of prizes at the third running of the Dynamo in Hobart on 14 November.

Ladbrokes Park Elwick was packed to the rafters for the fast-paced event, with clubs from most sports represented in the south of the state.

The Conor Crook-trained, Jordan Chibnall-driven Ultimaction was the overall winner of the on-track action, taking out the last of the eight heats over 1609m in 1:54.962, which was the fastest winning time and earned a $20,000 bonus for connections.

With all clubs in attendance represented by a horse on the night, five of the eight races gave clubs a chance to win $1,000 if their horse was first across the line. The five clubs to each take home $1,000 were:

  • Claremont Bowls & Community Club
  • Richmond Cambridge Cricket Club
  • Claremont Golf Club
  • Glenorchy Rodman Bowls & Community Club
  • St Aidans Cricket Club

In addition, several minor prizes were given away, along with four separate 5% shares in two different pacers, courtesy of Tasracing and the Tasmanian Trotting Club.

Now an annual feature, the Dynamo delivered in spades in 2025 and promises to be back again next year.
